'A Month Of Detention' is a radio drama podcast produced by a team of learning disabled actors over 10 weeks in Autumn 2018. Workshops were led by writer Jason Eade, fulfilling his vision to create radio drama that is
written, produced and performed by learning disabled talent. All dialogue, narration and Foley sound fx was written and recorded by a learning disabled team.

Funded by Arts Council England and MacAndrew Sussex Trust.

Daniel Wakeford is a singer-songwriter from the UK's burgeoning learning disabled music scene, based in Brighton. Daniel has been writing and recording music since 2009. He has amassed an impressive back catalogue, in excess of 60 songs. Daniel has gained a cult following, due to his show-stealing appearances on Channel 4's 'The Undateables'.
In 2018 Daniel toured the UK with his band, The Daniel Wakeford Experience, to promote their new album, ‘That’s How I See It’.
In this show we hear from Daniel, his family, his band, his fans and musicians who have worked with him to tell the story of pure and ecstatic pop from a charismatic and honest individual.

Lizzie Emeh is a singer/songwriter who made history as the first solo artist with a learning disability to release an album to the general public of her own songs. Lizzie works with award-winning creative arts company and charity, Heart n Soul. Following her debut LP, ‘Loud and Proud’, Lizzie is releasing a trilogy of EPs. Lizzie has been on a UK tour and won 2 national awards for her achievements in music- Radar People of the Year and Ability Media International awards. In 2012, she performed at the London Paralympic Games opening ceremony. In this show, Lizzie talks to Ewan from Carousel Radio about her music and personal story and plays selections of her music.
